He has many years experience designing and organising Conservation and Listed Building projects, both residential and commercial. He specialise in historic buildings and can provide specialist reports and Heritage Statements for planning permission. He provides advice on restoration and design for Conservation schemes.
Prior to considering any work to a Listed building, or those in a Conservation area or the curtilage of a Listed Building, it is essential that the local Planning department be contacted for advice. Listed Building Consent will be required for any changes to the property, whether it is internal or external. This includes vent holes for extracts, remedial work to windows, chimney stacks, aerials etc. All internal alterations, reburbishments and extensions will be required to be approved by the Conservation Officer and Planners.
