Principal of Lifestyle Design - Memberships includes the Architects Registration Board, The Royal Institute of British Architects and Cranfield Management Association.
His experience commenced in his early teens both at Northampton Art College and working with his father a builder, he then pursued architecture through Kingston University and later Northampton Borough Council, as project Architect.
Ron then spent time abroad in Tehran, Iran; where he was Principal Designer and Office Manager - Projects included Township design and infrastructure, a hospital, health centres and educational buildings.
He continued his career in England with W.S.Atkins and Partners International, Epsom having design responsibility for university institutes, hotels and variety of other buildings, much involved in construction drawings and specifications.
He decided to widen his sphere and spent one year completing an MBA course at Cranfield, enabling him to obtain sound experience and knowledge of business and thus better able to understand his clients functional in particular relation to process and design.
Following the MBA he was immediately employed by Almana Design Consultants International, Doha, Qatar. Project Manager and Principal Designer of the Architectural Division. Controller of Projects up to £25 million value. Clients included: His Royal Highness the Amir of Qatar, Sheikhs, Ministers, Senior Officials, Municipality Committees, International Oil Companies and Local Businessmen. Projects included The Doha Club and boat marina/harbour, Municipality Offices, Health Centres, Villas and Interior Design, Vehicle Maintenance Depots and related buildings for the Ministry of Defence.
Ron Sheffield now concentrates on a range of projects for individual clients mainly in the Northamptonshire area.
